The event, themed “ASEAN Matters: Epicenter of Growth,” showcased the diverse cultural heritage of the Cordillera Region.
Hosted at the Newtown Plaza Hotel in Baguio City, the competition brought together numerous talented groups from across the region. The KCP Gabay Cultural Ensemble stood out with their exceptional performance of “Longayban,” a traditional song hailing from the Mt. Province.
The ensemble’s performance was not just a display of musical prowess but also a testament to their deep connection with their cultural roots. The rendition of “Longayban” captivated the audience and judges alike, earning them the prestigious second-place position in a highly competitive field.

The Commission on Higher Education-CAR, which organized this region-wide celebration, aimed to highlight the importance of ASEAN integration and cooperation.
