MEMORANDUM

Integration of United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and Carbon Neutrality 2050 in Curriculum, Activities, and Strategic Project Development

Theme: “Preserving divine creation: Fostering commitment to sustainable practices, renewable energy, and impactful research for a greener and carbon neutral world by 2050”

1All VPs, Deans, and Faculty members must collaborate in incorporating discussions about UN’s SDGs and the importance of carbon neutrality in all courses to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and mindset they need in exploring opportunities, and fostering holistic understanding of their roles as responsible global citizens.

2Proposed projects and initiatives should align with the SDGs and Carbon Neutrality objectives to contribute to a more sustainable campus and enhanced student learning experiences.

3All Colleges and Offices must organise sustainability workshops, seminars, training, or events to facilitate open dialogue and knowledge sharing among all the members of the KCP community.

4All Colleges must establish their sustainability committee that shall be composed of students, faculty, and staff to oversee the integration efforts and forward recommendations.

5All Colleges must regularly update the Office of the President with the progress of all initiatives.

6Student Clubs and organisational initiatives and events must promote awareness and action related to the SDGs and Carbon Neutrality.

7Students must be provided with onsite and online platforms to engage actively in critical conversations related to local, national, or global environmental concerns.

8To facilitate a wider implementation of the programs, we must actively seek partnership with local organisations and experts who can contribute to the attainment of our sustainability goals.
