La Trinidad, Benguet — King’s College of the Philippines (KCP) proudly hosted the 2025 Criminologist Oathtaking Ceremony on April 5, 2025, at the Ebenezer Convention Center, KCP Main Campus. The face-to-face event welcomed around 2,200 newly licensed criminologists in two sessions held at 9:30 AM and 2:30 PM.
Gracing the 2025 Criminologist Oathtaking Ceremony were distinguished guests from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Professional Regulatory Board of Criminology (PRBC), including:
- Hon. Ramil Gabao, Chairperson, PRBC
- Hon. Warren Corpuz, Member, PRBC
- Dr. Gerry Caño, National President, Professional Criminologists Association of the Philippines (PCAP)
- Dr. Ariel C. Manlusoc, Vice President, PCAP
- Dr. Ariel Nimo Pumecha, PCAP-CAR Governor
- Dr. Ae Jin Kwon, President, King’s College of the Philippines
- Dir. Juanita L. Domogen, Regional Director, PRC-CAR
In the recently concluded February 2025 Criminologists Licensure Examination, several institutions from the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) were recognized as Top Performing Schools, a testament to the region’s dedication to producing competent and professional criminologists.
Among the top-performing schools were:
- University of the Cordilleras (Rank 2) – Category: 200 or more examinees
- King’s College of the Philippines–Benguet (Rank 3) – Category: 101–199 examinees
- Ifugao State University (Rank 7) – Category: 101–199 examinees
- University of Baguio (Rank 10) – Category: 101–199 examinees
These achievements reflect the shared commitment of academic institutions across CAR to uphold excellence in criminology education and contribute to the growing field of criminal justice in the Philippines.
The oathtaking also recognized notable examinees from Baguio City who ranked in the national Top 10:
- Theodore Ngayud Domoguen – Rank 6
- Precious Manipon Puruggan – Rank 7
