December 12, 2024 – The Basic Education Department of King’s College of the Philippines (KCP), led by Principal Gina M. Solano, brought joy and meaningful contributions to Pico Elementary School through the “Piso para sa Pico” project. The initiative culminated in the donation of a 55-inch TV monitor, which was warmly received by the enthusiastic students, teachers, and Principal Oscar Lacaden of Pico Elementary School.
The event was more than just a handover of material support. KCP students and teachers showcased their talents in storytelling, engaging young learners with entertaining and educational narratives. Additionally, the “Peers for Peace” club conducted a campaign on anti-bullying, emphasizing the importance of kindness, inclusivity, and creating a safe environment for everyone. “KCP is truly proud of our students for their active participation and generosity in the ‘Piso para sa Pico’ project. Through this initiative, we were able to provide an early Christmas gift to the students of Pico Elementary School, our adopted school in the community,” shared Principal Solano. “This collaborative effort reflects our commitment to nurturing future leaders with compassion and genuine concern for others.”
The project exemplifies KCP’s dedication to fostering a culture of giving back to the community while instilling values of leadership and empathy among its students. It highlights the transformative power of collective action in making a positive impact on others’ lives.
