The King’s College of the Philippines (KCP) embarked on a month-long celebration marking its 20th founding anniversary, starting on February 3 and culminating on March 1, 2024. The anniversary’s theme, “Lighting the Path to the Sustainability of Divine Creation,” underscores KCP’s commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable practices in line with its founding principles. The event was graced by the Kwon Family, Northern Luzon Presbyterian Church (NLPC) Pastors, La Trinidad Municipal Mayor Romeo Salda, BSU President Felipe Comila, and esteemed guests.
The celebration commenced with a vibrant parade that showcased the enthusiasm of the students, KCP Department heads, and among others. The festive atmosphere reflected the unity and pride felt by the KCP community as they looked back on two decades of academic excellence and spiritual growth. This significant milestone also served as a poignant moment to pay tribute to the late founder, Rev. Kwon Young Soo, whose legacy continues to shape the institution’s values and mission.
Throughout the month-long celebration, KCP has planned a series of events, as follows:
February 8, 2024 – Fun Run, Traditional Games, Quiz Bee.
February 12. 2024 – Educational Booth Display, Firing Range Soft Opening and Fun Shoot, “Namnama para KCP,” Chlak Art Competition, Cheer Dance Competition, and Dance Therapy.
February 14, 2024 – Employees Appreciation Day, Fun Shoot Competition, & Students Day.
February 16, 2024 – Healthcare Services for all, Film-viewing. And KCP Got Talent.
February 26-29, 2024 – Sports Intramurals Week
March 1, 2024- Closing and Awarding Ceremony
