The year 2025 marked a significant year for King’s College of the Philippines (KCP) as the institution recorded notable placements in several international university rankings, strengthening its presence in the global higher education landscape.
Among the highlights of the year was KCP’s inclusion in the World University
Rankings for Innovation (WURI) 2025, where it placed 273rd globally. The
College earned strong positions in specific categories, ranking 46th in Student
Support, 23rd in Ethics and Integrity, and 15th in Visionary Leadership,
reflecting its institutional priorities in student services, ethical values, and strategic
leadership.
KCP’s performance in 2025 extended to sustainability-focused rankings as well. The school was listed in the Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Rankings
2025, placing in the 1501+ bracket, recognizing its efforts in aligning education and
research with global sustainability goals. In the UI GreenMetric World University
Rankings 2025, KCP ranked 1497th worldwide, with Education and Research
identified as its strongest category.
These global recognitions contributed to increased international visibility for KCP,
positioning the school among institutions engaged in innovation and sustainability. The
rankings have also supported the school’s efforts in establishing and strengthening
partnerships with other universities, research institutions, and organizations, both locally and internationally.
As KCP concludes 2025, the institution views these rankings as benchmarks rather than
endpoints. In the coming year, the school aims to further improve the quality of its
academic programs, research initiatives, student support services, and institutional
activities, building on the progress achieved during the year.
With a clearer global profile and expanding collaborative opportunities, KCP will enter
2026 with a focus on continuous improvement and sustained institutional development.
