KCP Distributes 20 TESDA STEP Toolkits to EIM NC II Scholars

King’s College of the Philippines (KCP) strengthened its commitment to fostering technical-vocational excellence as it successfully distributed twenty (20) Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM) NC II Toolkits to TESDA scholars under the Special Training for Employment Program (STEP). The distribution ceremony was held today at the KCP Lounge, where institutional leaders and TESDA representatives gathered to celebrate the scholars’ achievements and support their transition into skilled employment.

The event was honored by the presence of Ma’am Ae Jin Kwon, School President, and Ma’am Angeline T. Bugtong, Executive Vice President, whose attendance reflects KCP’s unwavering dedication to advancing quality technical education.

Ma’am Christine Oliquiano of the TESDA Benguet Provincial Office delivered uplifting remarks, motivating the scholars to fully utilize their toolkits as they build their careers in the electrical field. Representing Hon. Eric Yap, Congressman of the Lone District of Benguet, Ma’am Jireh Siddayao reaffirmed the Congressman’s ongoing support for programs that promote livelihood and skills development across the province.

During the gathering, officials also engaged in constructive discussions on strengthening and expanding technical education programs for both KCP and Benguet. The dialogue focused on improving training quality, enhancing facility readiness, and exploring additional partnerships that will benefit future trainees and the broader community.

As the twenty (20) beneficiaries received their toolkits, they were reminded to be good and responsible stewards of the equipment—using them to advance their skills, secure employment, and contribute positively to their families and communities.

The event highlighted the collaborative efforts of KCP, TESDA Benguet, and the Office of Congressman Eric Yap in providing accessible, career-ready training and promoting sustainable development through technical education. Through these continued partnerships, King’s College of the Philippines remains steadfast in molding competent and empowered graduates for Benguet and beyond
