King’s College of the Philippines took a big step towards sustainability with the launching of Blue Station water refilling station, with the slogan “Be Blue, Live Green.” The launch, held at the school canteen, was attended by school officials, student leaders, and students, all eager to support this new eco-friendly initiative.
The Blue Station encourages staff and students to refill their own tumblers, mugs, or small containers with clean drinking water for just one peso (₱1.00) per refill. Through these initiatives, it aims to reduce the use of single-use plastic bottles and help protect the environment.
More than just a convenient way to access water, the Blue Station also promotes the importance of waste reduction. It serves as a reminder that small, daily actions—such as refilling a bottle instead of purchasing a new one—can have a significant impact on protecting the planet.
The event highlights the school’s continued efforts to make sustainability a key part of daily life, ensuring that future generations will develop habits that protect and preserve the environment.
