King’s College of the Philippines (KCP) has donated 440 books to Tacadang Integrated School. Attended by school officials, faculty, and students from the Basic Education, who came together to witness this kind gesture and build a sense of kindness.
“This is a wonderful act of kindness, showing the deep care and generosity you have for the students of Tacadang Integrated School,” said Executive Vice President Angeline Bugtong to the students present during the ceremony.
The donation is part of the KCP Extension Program, known as KCP SHARES, which aims to support schools and communities in need. The donated books are expected to provide students in Tacadang Elementary School with valuable educational resources.
Elizabeth Dip-asen, a representative from Tacadang Integrated School, thanked KCP and shared the difficulties they face due to a lack of resources and facilities such as books. Tacadang, a remote area in Benguet, is hard to reach, requiring a 2–3-hour hike.
According to Gina Solano, the Basic Education Principal, there are plans for more book donations to reach other remote areas and looking for the possibility of involving the students in these initiatives to give them firsthand experience of the outreach efforts.
