With the theme “Empowering and Applying Students’ Entrepreneurial Skills,” the College of Business Management hosted a week-long entrepreneurship event held at King’s College of the Philippines from November 13 to 17, 2023.
Entrepreneurship Week kicked off with an inspirational inaugural ceremony at the KCP Ebenezer Convention Center with keynote speaker Mr. Jessie Cris M. Lahboy, Senior Trade and Industry Specialist from the DTI Baguio-Benguet Provincial Office. Mr. Lahboy’s insightful presentation delves into the intricacies of starting a business, emphasizing the selection of the right products for the right customers, strategies for meeting customer satisfaction, and the essential role of calculated risk-taking. It was an opportunity to learn from some of the world’s top business leaders, particularly for aspiring entrepreneurs with the skills, abilities, and determination to take their business concept through to completion.
The week showcased competitions such as the Trade Fair, Quiz Bee, Trademark Designing, Poster Making, Video Ad Contest promoting CBM, and Business Pitching, which were participated in by the BSBA, BSHM, and BSOA.
Further, it proved invaluable for students, fostering their knowledge, critical thinking, innovation, and creativity. The array of competitions provided a stage for students to uncover their talents and hone the skills necessary for future success as managers, business owners, entrepreneurs, and beyond.
The culmination of Entrepreneurship Week was marked by a closing ceremony where outstanding contributions were recognized, emphasizing the continual importance of entrepreneurship education. This event acts as a catalyst, empowering students with practical skills, championing innovation, and nurturing an entrepreneurial spirit throughout the academic community. //ANA
