King’s College of the Philippines shines at Benguet Teachers’ Day Celebration 2023
The spirit of excellence and dedication was palpable on September 29, 2023, as King’s College of the Philippines (KCP) garnered a slew of awards during the Benguet Teachers’ Day Celebration with the theme “Together 4 Teachers.” Held at the prestigious Benguet State University Gymnasium, this event was a platform to honor and recognize the outstanding contributions of educators to society.
KCP stood tall among the esteemed participants, securing multiple awards across various categories.
Awards from the Basic Education Department:
- Ms. Odessa E. Mangangey – Outstanding Private Elementary Teacher: Ms. Mangangey’s exceptional dedication and commitment to nurturing young minds earned her this prestigious award.
- Mr. Julsen L. Copete – Outstanding Private Senior High Teacher: Mr. Copete’s passion for educating and inspiring senior high school students was duly acknowledged with this honor.
- Basic Education Teachers – 2nd Place in Tiktok Video Competition: The creative talents of the KCP Basic Education Teachers shone brightly as they clinched the 2nd place in the Tiktok Video Competition. This team included Mr. Jomar Budlao (Leader-SHS), Bryan Buhong Pacsayan (JHS), Ms. Ursula Colte Guiad (JHS), Lorraine Lep-ew Sato (JHS), Ms. Roseane Olsim (SHS), Mr. Mitch Peralta (ELS), Jgvina A. Balasi (ELS), and Mary Kris M. Dauz (ELS).
- Technical Vocational Institution Talentadong Guro – 3rd Place: Mr. Berto Langpaoen Jr., Ms. Venus Acosta, Ms. Novelyn Estrada, Ms. Kimverlyn Tictic, and Ms. Dhalia Licuben showcased their extraordinary talents and secured 3rd place in this highly competitive category.
Awards from the SUC and HEIs Category:
- Mr. Roy Collins Balajo and Ms. Eslin Dio-as – 3rd Place in 2023 Search for HEI Got Talent: These talented individuals impressed the judges and audience alike, earning them a well-deserved 3rd place in the prestigious talent competition.
- Ms. Frances Corrine D. Bonilla-Delmas – International Awardee: Ms. Bonilla-Delmas achieved international recognition as a co-author of a research article, further enhancing KCP’s reputation in the academic community.
These remarkable achievements were made possible through the relentless efforts and steadfast commitment of our dedicated educators and supportive administrators, supported by the visionary leadership of the Principal, Ms. Gina M. Solano, and the SHS Director, Dr. Dina Teresita P. Balaan during the awarding ceremonies.
In addition to these accolades, KCP received a surprise award during the event where the school was again recognized as the Top 1 Performing School in the August 2023 Criminologist Licensure Examination.
