A decade and a half since its inauguration as a separate college in 2006, the College of Criminal Justice Education remains enthusiastic in its mission of producing competent, well – equipped and licensed professionals who can be leaders in the field of Philippine Criminal Justice System and in Private sectors.
Commenced with only 30 students in 2006, the college maintains its strict adherence to high standards by screening and selecting only those deserving to graduate. With this standard, the College of Criminal Justice Education made the school proud by consistently achieving a 100% passing rate since the first batch of Board Examiners. True to its mission, the College put the school in the spotlight by becoming the number one Top Performing School in the Criminology Licensure Examination held in August 2014.
From its humble beginnings of only a handful of enrollees, CCJE has significantly progressed in terms of enrollees with over 1,000 students to date.
For what it is today, the college owes it to the first batch of examiners who started it right, coupled with its basic foundation engraved in the students’ mind – discipline. Accordingly, the college prefers quality over quantity. When quality education is put to the fore, students are attracted to enroll. This scenario is consistently observed in the college with its progressive enrollment data.
In an interview recently conducted with the CCJE Dean, Dr. Depayso regarding KCP’s edge to other schools, he enumerated some good practices relative to teaching dedication on the part of faculty. He proudly said that the college has faculty members who can do beyond what is required of them. Not only do they teach theories and concepts; they also bridge the gap between these theories and concepts with practices. On the part of the students, there is the discipline instilled in them. Consequently, students became well-behaved. The college believes that when students are disciplined, they are inclined to follow absolutely the orders given them, including adherence to review schedules/classes.
In closing, the Dean remarked on restoring the 100% passing rate on the Criminology Licensure Examination. In relation, he gave a pointed message to future examiners – “Take the Challenge; Read, read, read; and pass the board examination!”
