LA TRINIDAD, Benguet—The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Cordillera Administrative Region recently conducted an ocular inspection at King’s College of the Philippines (KCP) as part of the institution’s application for Government Recognition to operate the Bachelor of Science in Social Work Program for Academic Year 2025-2026.
The inspection, held on October 16, was led by Dr. Florence L. Ambeguia and Dr. Andrew S. Macalma, members of the CHED Regional Office Quality Assessment Team (RQAT). The visit aimed to verify KCP’s compliance with the standards set in CHED Memorandum Order No. 39, Series of 2017, which outlines the “Policies, Standards, and Guidelines for the Bachelor of Science in Social Work Program.”
During the inspection, the RQAT team conducted a thorough review of KCP’s facilities, documents, and overall preparedness for delivering the Social Work program. After careful assessment, the team provided a generally positive endorsement, noting that the school meets the essential requirements set by CHED. While a few minor recommendations were made for further improvement, the team commended KCP for its compliance and readiness.
KCP remains optimistic as it awaits the final decision from CHED, confident that the institution’s commitment to academic excellence will earn the approval needed to continue the new program.
